As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing data platforms on standard infrastructure. Your role will include designing, building, and maintaining data architectures, tools, and processes to support clients in the collection, storage, manipulation, and analysis of large datasets.

We partnered with an exciting tech company that provides cross-device technology to improve digital advertising and user analytics, who are looking to add a couple of Software Engineers (Mid and Senior) to their team. 

It’s an opportunity to dive deeper into advanced technologies, using client’s Machine Learning algorithm to analyze dozens of terabytes of data daily and predict device profiles for hundreds of millions of people.

Tech: Scala, Clojure, AWS, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Redis, Avro, Apache Parquet, Hadoop, Akka, Spray, JavaScript.

Requirements: 

• Ability to design and implement highly scalable systems for low latency, high throughput request processing. 
• Write good quality and high performant, unit tested code. 
• Good understanding of computer architecture, algorithms complexity, data structures and their properties.
• Practical experience with AWS.
• Advanced experience with Scala programming language and some exposure to Clojure

We’re looking for an experienced SysAdmin / DevOps Specialist who can take full ownership of the configuration, maintenance, and updating of hundreds of servers in our clients' clusters. You will also help design and implement scalable and highly available systems, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the administered systems.

Software Engineers use our clients' Machine Learning algorithms to analyze dozens of terabytes of data daily and predict device profiles for hundreds of millions of people.

Tech: Linux OS, AWS, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Bash, Python. Optional: Apache Parquet, Hadoop, Akka, Spray.

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of Linux OS at an advanced level.
• Practical experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of Bash, Python, Go, or other scripting languages.
• Practical experience with Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Most importantly, a problem-solving attitude and a love for automating things.

We’re currently working with a technology services company specialising in crafting purpose-built AI and data-led solutions for their clients. The consultancy has just established its presence in the UK and eyes European expansion next.     

• Lead engagements when working with customers across domains like retail, banking, publishing, social, education, adtech and more.
• You will be given ownership of your work and are encouraged to propose alternatives and make a case for doing things differently.
• Consult with the clients on their Tech and data strategy, modernising their data infrastructure, architecture and technology

Tech stack ranges widely with language ecosystems like Scala, Java, Golang, Elixir, Python, .Net, Nodejs and Rust. 

Requirements:    

• They are looking for people excited about tech, but not necessarily language experts, people capable of learning/picking up a new language or tool as and when it’s needed.   
• Interest in data engineering. 
• Experience with functional programming languages and Python.

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will have full autonomy to design and evolve our client’s infrastructure and security practices across the engineering systems and teams, working in one of the hottest startups in Europe focused on building software infrastructure for confidential machine learning and analytics.  

Tech stack: Rust; nix/NixOS, Python, TypeScript, gRPC, Nomad, Docker  

Requirements:   

• Experience with nix/NixOS 
• Systems programming with Rust, C++ or C.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, for example) 
• Systems security experience

An excellent opportunity for those interested in automating infrastructure using Rust and Go. You will be working in a dynamic startup specialising in running validation infrastructure and provisioning of staking services for Proof-of-Stake blockchain networks.  

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, scaling, and monitoring our client’s infrastructure, including cloud machines, bare-metal servers, and a Kubernetes cluster. You will also champion the next tranch of significant infrastructure upgrades and develop software components to enable those.  

Tech stack: Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Rust, Python and Golang-based, components.

Requirements:  

• Extensive DevOps experience ideally in a Lead / Senior level role.
• Strong Linux skills, Kubernetes, Ansible, Packer. 
• Good knowledge of Golang or Rust.
